Every mandate runs through the same operating method.

Lamberg Group’s method is designed for decisions with real capital or reputation attached. The firm is dedicated to delivering first-rate, tailored advisory services to corporates and investors on market entry, transactions and commercial growth across the UK, Europe and selected international markets. Lamberg prides itself on its’ deep sectoral knowledge and commitment to navigating intricate strategic challenges.

The Operating Method
  1. 01

    1. Scoping and Mandate Design

Before any research begins, we agree the commercial question. The scoping conversation defines what a useful answer looks like and who it needs to convince, along with the deadline it needs to meet. We write the mandate as a one-page brief and share it with the client for sign-off. Work begins once that page is agreed.

    Outputs of this stage:

    • One-page mandate brief with defined question and success measure
    • Workplan with named principals and interim milestones
    • Fee terms with confidentiality attached
  2. 02

    2. Primary Research and Evidence Gathering

Fieldwork is the heart of the method. Our teams run the interviews and source the datasets, speaking directly to the operators who know the market. Primary work leads, and secondary research supports it.

    How we gather evidence:

    • Direct interviews with operators and customers, extended to regulators when the mandate calls for it
    • Structured data collection from named public and licensed sources
    • Site visits and observational work when relevant
    • Cross-checking of every material finding against a second source
  3. 03

    3. Analysis and Recommendation

We test each conclusion internally before it reaches the client, then present options with the trade-offs written out. The client makes the decision. Lamberg Group makes sure the decision is well-informed.

    What the client receives:

    • A written recommendation with the reasoning traceable end to end
    • A set of options ranked against the client's stated priorities
    • The evidence base attached in full, so anyone reviewing the paper later can retrace the argument

    4. Execution Support and Handover

Lamberg Group stays involved through that next step, whether it is a partner introduction or a first commercial meeting. When the client is ready to run the work in-house, we hand over cleanly and step back.

    Forms this stage can take:

    • Introductions to named counterparties in our network
    • Attendance at the first client-facing meetings
    • Interim commercial or advisory roles during the transition
    • Documented handover to an in-house team once appointed

Principles The Method Rests On

Four commitments that hold across every mandate.

01

Senior Attention Throughout

Senior involvement begins at the outset and continues throughout the mandate. Analysts support the work, and the principal is accountable for the answer.

02

Traceable Evidence

Every material finding carries an attribution. A claim enters the paper only when the source is named, whether that is a dataset or a first-hand interview.

03

Independence and Discretion

Lamberg Group operates as a pure advisory firm, so recommendations follow the evidence. Client work stays between us and the client.

04

Deliverables Measured by Decisions

A report has done its job when it changes a decision or unlocks the next one. We ask that question of every output before it leaves the firm.

Team Model

Lean teams, senior-heavy, with specialists drawn from our own network.

Lamberg Group runs small teams by design. A typical mandate has a principal accountable end to end, with one or two analysts on the workstreams. A named sector specialist joins from the firm's expert network when the mandate calls for one. This structure allows Lamberg Group to bring the right specialist perspective into a mandate when it is needed. Where legal execution, regulatory authorisation or senior appointments are required, we can also introduce clients to established specialist firms.

Specialist Network

Some mandates require expertise beyond Lamberg Group’s commercial remit.

When legal execution, regulatory authorisation or senior appointments are required, we can introduce clients to established specialist firms in our London and international network.

The firms shown below operate independently. Introductions are made where the mandate calls for their expertise.
